In Northern Syria, amidst challenging circumstances, UOSSM provides vital dialysis treatment to End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients. Collaborating with local partners, we’ve established a lifeline for those in need, including elderly and pediatric patients. With the sole Renal Dialysis Unit in Tel Abiad, we aim to reduce morbidity and mortality by offering specialized life-saving services to host communities and internally displaced persons.  

The Challenge 

Renal patients in Northern Syria are confronted with a challenging reality. Operating in an environment marked by extreme poverty and scarce humanitarian aid, they grapple with the difficulties of accessing essential services. From geographical dispersion to the unavailability of crucial medical tests, these challenges need urgent attention. It’s time for us to unite and address this pressing healthcare crisis. 

The Solution
UOSSM’s mission is to provide dialysis services to renal patients in Tel Abiad and nearby areas. Currently, we serve 29 patients (13 males, 16 females) with sessions, consultations, and medications. Your support can expand our reach, impacting more lives.
