UOSSM is committed to enhancing psychological support in Northwest Syria by training professionals in evidence-based psychological counseling techniques, specifically
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Mission Objectives

Provide in-depth training in psychological counseling, equipping professionals with the skills needed to deliver moderate-intensity counseling services.

Impact: 
Forty-two PSWs have completed this program, receiving certification that enhances local mental health capacity and promotes access to quality counseling services. 

People Served: 
42 certified psychological support workers trained, ready to contribute to mental health services in their communities. 

  • Structured CBT Training: Students are trained in ethical principles, disorder recognition, and communication skills, preparing them to deliver safe, effective mental health support.
  • Supervised Practical Experience: Students complete hands-on practice sessions under supervision, allowing for skill application in real-world settings.
