Meet Abdullah (13 years old)
Abdullah, now in seventh grade, has faced numerous hardships since the tragic loss of his father five years ago. He lives with his mother and three siblings—Ghada, Yaqoub and Heba—in the Atmeh refugee camp, where they’ve endured displacement for the past 11 years. Despite the adversity of his visual impairment, Abdullah dreams of becoming a pharmacist to help those in need. Football provides him with a brief escape and his determination fuels his ambition to overcome life’s challenges.
Challenges:
Abdullah and his family confront many obstacles in their daily lives. The loss of their father placed them in a financially vulnerable position and Abdullah’s visual impairment further complicates his educational journey and future aspirations. Living in a displacement camp only adds to these struggles, as they lack stable housing and essential resources.
our donation can make a tangible difference in Abdullah’s life. Contributions provide essential financial support to alleviate the family’s struggles, ensuring they have access to basic needs and medical care. Through UOSSM’s medical services program, Abdullah can receive specialized treatments, including corneal injury care and lens implantation for his right eye.
