Meet Mohammed, a resilient 10-year-old orphan from Idlib who dreams of becoming a math teacher. Since losing his parents five years ago, Mohammed’s determination shines through. Join us in shaping Mohammed’s future and helping him build a better tomorrow.
Meet Mohammed and his siblings – Nour, Marwa, Omar and Ibrahim. Orphaned five years ago and displaced from Raqqa, they now live in the countryside of Idlib, seeking refuge in their grandparents’ home in Qah. Despite their challenges, Mohammed is determined to excel in school and dreams of becoming a math teacher. However, their family faces various health issues, including diabetes and heart conditions, which add to their struggles.
Challenges:
Mohammed’s family grapples with numerous challenges, including the loss of their father and health issues. Their mother battles diabetes and weak eyesight, while their grandparents contend with diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. Additionally, Omar’s involuntary urination presents further difficulties and Mohammed’s speech impediments require specialized attention.
UOSSM provides a comprehensive solution to meet the needs of Mohammed’s family and others like them. Through our programs, we offer essential healthcare services, including treatment for diabetes, vision care and chronic condition management. Our support also includes educational and psychosocial initiatives, helping children like Mohammed overcome speech impediments and succeed in school.
