In a harrowing situation, Yasser and Abdullah, part of the ambulance team supported by UOSSM, raced against time to transport four-year-old Huda, who sustained serious injuries from shrapnel amidst ongoing shelling in Ariha. Despite the immediate danger from nearby explosions, they successfully extricated Huda from a small medical center where she initially received treatment. Recognizing the critical nature of her injuries, they quickly transferred her to a facility equipped to provide the specialized care necessary to save her life.
After several hours of intensive treatment, doctors informed the ambulance team that Huda’s condition had stabilized and improved. Although Huda survived, the tragic loss of her innocent siblings serves as a poignant reminder of the constant dangers faced by civilians in conflict zones. Huda’s survival underscores the vital need for enhanced medical support and specialized care, particularly for children affected by conflict-related injuries.
