Summary

Meet Zainab, 10 years old, and her sister Noor, 8 years old, who have faced immense challenges since their father’s passing 8 years ago. Their mother remarried, and they now live with her, their step-father, and his Five children in Aleppo’s countryside. Both girls suffer from a rare condition called xeroderma pigmentosum, which prohibits their exposure to sunlight due to its adverse effects on their nervous system, hearing, vision, and skin.

Challenges:

Zainab and Noor face multiple challenges exacerbated by their rare medical condition, xeroderma pigmentosum. This condition not only limits their exposure to sunlight but also affects their nervous system, hearing, vision, and skin. Consequently, they require specialized medical attention and care to manage their condition effectively. However, accessing adequate medical treatment is a significant challenge due to their family’s financial constraints and the ongoing conflict in their area.

Solution:

Through UOSSM’s financial support program and medical services program, we can provide essential assistance to Zainab, Noor, and their family. Donations enable us to extend a helping hand, ensuring access to vital medical care, specialized treatments, and ongoing support for their rare medical condition. Your generosity empowers us to make a tangible difference in the lives of Zainab, Noor, and countless other orphaned children in Northern Syria.

Long-Term Impact:

Your donation to UOSSM’s programs for Zainab, Noor, and their family holds the power to create a lasting impact. By supporting our financial assistance and medical services programs, you’re not only providing immediate relief but also investing in the long-term well-being and resilience of vulnerable children in Northern Syria. With access to essential medical care and ongoing support, Zainab and Noor can experience improved health outcomes, enhanced quality of life, and greater opportunities for a brighter future.
